#10 Lithuania – Vilnius May 2023 – DJ Stag. Age: 29

Brief mention to Gran Canaria in April 2023 with Clemmie – beautiful trip this was – the Maspalomas are a site to behold. Additionally in May, Nick M’s stag to Lisbon which I’ve touched on in the Portugal section. 

Vilnius is my favourite of the 3; Latvia, and Estonia. It’s actually beautiful, with a quaint old town, lovely people and plenty of cool bars and places to eat. Well done Vilnius. I feel like we missed out on quite a bit of this though. As we all know, stags can go one of two ways depending on the age and temperament of the best man. In this instance, it was a wall to wall piss up, bar hopping, with the occasional cultural hiccup, before slotting back into beers. 

This trip was with the Uni boys; our first to get married, dear David Jubb to the lovely Rachel Wallen. Will Percival and Tom Stew diving in as the best men; an unruly couple of lads who can sink a pint nearly as quickly as I can. 

My favourite part of this trip was lying riverside listening to Jubbs’ Mister and Misses answers over speaker whilst drinking as the sun went down; some beautiful hidden spots in this town but nothing more beautiful than watching Jubb stroll confidently towards us, post park-piss, scantily clad in his maid outfit. 

Just a brief mention – hitting go-karting on the stag was without a doubt a complete mistake. 10 blokes, hungover as sin, sweating beer and spirits out from every follicle – 2 sessions was enough to knock everybody and the floor. I didn’t even do the second, I think I was on the verge of throwing up in my helmet during the first. 

A classic stag by all accounts. Would recommend Vilnius for a weekend getaway, or of course a stag. Probably low priority for going back.
